First-time director Dominique Rocher may have given birth to the first minimalist art-house zombie movie with this adaptation of Pit Agarmen’s novel.

Franco-Norwegian musician Sam (Anders Danielsen Lie) stops by his ex-girlfriend’s apartment to pick up his stuff. A wild party is raging, and he decides to stay... Only to awake the next morning alone in the deserted apartment. Soon Sam realizes that everyone in Paris has turned into blood-thirsty undead, and zombies cover the streets below. Sam must organize his survival and try to figure out if he is the only one still alive. He roams the empty building for days that turn into weeks; time becomes a loose, intangible thing...

A study of loneliness and endurance, this finely-crafted genre film (in the vein of A Quiet Place) features the ever-brilliant Denis Lavant (Holy Motors), who was born to play one of the most fascinating and human zombies ever to walk the earth.

Shown with DELECTABLE YOU (Belle à croquer) by Axel Courtière.
