REVIEWS

A wickedly funny comedy. Closer

Funny, irreverent, brilliant and carried by two actors in great shape: Marina Fois and Laurent Lafitte. Olivier Corriez - TF1 News

The inventive screenplay and wicked dialogs are enough to make this insolent comedy a success. Olivier de Bruyn - Positif

(...) it is refreshing to see a film that is not afraid to touch on the less savory characteristics of the Have-it-All generation. French Cinema Review

An outrageously funny and irreverent comedy about parents who will stop at nothing NOT to get custody of their three bratty children! Starring the always charming Laurent Lafitte (Number One Fan - SFFF 2015 and Bright Days Ahead – SFFF 2014) and Marina Foïs (Polisse - SFFF 2012), from director Martin Bourboulon.

The film opens with a flashback. We follow medical student Vincent Leroy (Laurent Lafitte) and his girlfriend, Florence (Marina Fois), as they fight through the crowd towards a New Year’s Eve embrace. A few decades and three kids later, we meet them again as they have just agreed to an amicable divorce.

After the perfect marriage, the couple now wants the perfect divorce. All is running smoothly – they even agree to joint custody of the kids – until they are both offered their dream jobs abroad. Bringing children is not part of the deal, and war is declared. While leaving it to their kids to decide whom they want to live with, Vincent and Florence do everything in their power to make them pick the other parent. And we mean everything!

In France the film was both a critical and popular success. A rare feat!
