It's the first of August. The "Camping des Flots Bleus" (Blue Waves Campground), on the French Atlantic coast welcomes its regular vacationers as it does every year.
Tents and trailers, canned food, barbecues, pastis, flip-flops and shorts – leisure life is beautiful!
However, this year, things aren’t going so well in the campground’s alleys. Patrick Chirac (Franck Dubosc)– a playboy from Dijon – is still waiting for his wife to arrive; the Gatineau family (Mathilde Seigner and Antoine Duléry) have set up their tent elsewhere; and the Pics (Claude Brasseur and Mylène Demongeot) have been ousted from their usual space by a young Dutch couple...
Meanwhile Michel Saint-Josse (Gérard Lanvin) a Parisian plastic surgeon, accompanied by his daughter, heads for Marbella behind the wheel of his new Aston Martin. When his sleek automobile breaks down and all the hotels are full, he has no other choice but to accept Patrick Chirac’s offer to share his six-person tent.
And everyone is in for a hilarious culture shock...
